Property of Real Number

Property of Real Number atau sifat-sifat bilangan real diantaranya yaitu : sifat komutatif, assosiatif, distributive, identitas, dan invers.


1. Commutative
    a + b = b + a
    ab = ba

example:
    2 + 3 = 3 + 2
    5(80) = (80)5

2. Associative
    (a+b)+c=a+(b+c)
    (ab)c = a(bc)

example:
    (2+3)+5=2+(3+5)
    (5x2)x4=5x(2x4)

3. Distributive
    a(b+c)=ab+ac
    a(b-c)=ab-ac

example:
   2(8+6)=(2x8)+(2x6)
   2(8-3)=(2x8)-(2x3)

4. Identity
    a+0=0+a=a
    a(1)=(1)a=a

example:
    5+0=0+5=5
    2(1)=(1)2=2

5. Inverse
    a+(-a)=0=(-a)+a
    a(1/a)=1=(1/a)a, a≠0

example:
    2+(-2)=0=(-2)+2
    12(1/12)=1=(1/12)12
